I am a writer, foodie, photo hobbyist, editor, and travel bug. I live by the mantra “Eat well, Travel often,” and I think the “eat well” part I took to heart too seriously for a while back there. I am currently on the Cohen Lifestyle program which I started in March 2014 at 163 lbs. I have not yet reached my lower goal weight, but I am determined to finish the program before my birthday in November.

While others may have decided to totally eschew good food, I believe life is to be lived to its fullest — and that includes tasting the wonderful bounties that are available to us. There is no need to deprive one’s self of good food, but one should be more discerning about what we put into our bodies.

I had initially decided to enrol in the program for reasons of vanity, but I have a much deeper reason for committing to this program: to cure my polycystic ovary symptoms, manage my endometriosis, and prepare my body for pregnancy when the right time comes. Of course, I will not be a hypocrite by denying I want to look amazing and try to have the best body I can even as I reach my mid-30’s. Life is too short, after all, and I want to live the best life I can possibly have right now.

It’s never too late to make major changes in our lives. We all deserve to live the best life we can. So be happy and healthy, and live life to the fullest. No day but today!
